for dried beans you must soak over night, rinse and bring to a fast boils and continue boil for 15mins, timed from when it starts to boil, then depending on bean simmer for 1 hour to 1 an a half
that 15mins fast boil is to kill toxins that are present in dried beans
you can do veg broth etc for birdies an family
when beans are cooked, treat them as you would any other high protien food, like meat, so chill, bag up in portions and then its easy to bring out what you need for your birdies
beans are high in protein an fibre, might seem like a lot of work, but if you make a big batch up, you can just add them to chillies etc and in to long run work out cheaper
