No, its not a toy that's evil, but Phlox who looked like an evil wind up toy.

I was out of the house most of the day and once I was home, Phlox was not in the mood to share affection.

I was on the couch, letting her play with a little plastic ball, when she noticed that all four of my cats were sharing the couch with us. (They are amazingly blaise about birds, having been raised with them. Only little finches and sparrows ever get their interest...though they are always supervised) Phlox proceeds to charge them one at a time, chasing them each off the couch.

I don't want to encourage aggression, but having her on top of the cat pecking order is good, even with my bird friendly cats.

Granted, she nipped me a few times too, to let me know she was mad about my leaving her alone so long.

But that little strut across the couch...it was hysterical. You'd think she was a macaw with that attitude, not a GCC.

:)

Exactly my gcc! She is a macaw! She likes to chase off my 100 pound dog! :D Phlox seems very sure about herself! How cute! :)

I love how conures bite their humans to warn them of danger. Sarcasm of course! Mine bites me to tell me that the toothbrush is attacking my mouth in case I haven't noticed.

Haha Stephen is the same with my dog! He flies out of his way to land on the dogs head so he can bite his head and he is not a small dog either!! You are very lucky to have such laid back cats. My partners cat would LOOOOVVVEEE some birdy play time, we have to lock him out whenever the bird is out.

She's taken to launching herself at the cats now. It's weird, because she's a sweet baby to my daughter and my husband, and is totally oblivious to the dogs (we have two big lab mixes) But the cats are her nemesis.

In a way I think its good that she's letting them know in no uncertain terms that she's the top of the food chain. She also chased off the budgie for getting too close, but she didn't try to hurt the budgie, just threatened. I think maybe she thinks she's a person.

Or that we're really ugly conures. Hard to be sure.

Hahaha lol, gotta love those conures ! My friend has a sun conure that would "growl" at their Rottweiler , he was at the top of the pack LOL

My male sennie growls when we do something he doesn't approve of.

So funny!!! My cats would be very happy to play with the birds, so the birds have their own room.
