Kelly still has some clipped feathers but enough flights to start getting some strength. He is a very out of shape old man and collapsed on my lap after a couple short flights. He did a couple of his own take offs going back to the car at the end of the trip after resting for a bit though! We joked I should tie the lead onto my stepfather so Kelly will fly after him to attack...

Kelly finally figured out how to climb on his new stand...

Pic of the old guy hanging out...This month is a year since I adopted the crazy green bird!

Yayyyy, Kelly! You are an amazing Amazon and super handsome besides! Look at you, flight lessons, wearing a harness, field trip with mom, living the life of a King!

Thanks for the wonderful update and pics, Victoria! Congratulations on the first of many fantastic years with Kelly!

He definitely has come a way with his coloring! He is a much brighter and deeper green then he was when he first came home. Plus, he no longer weighs so much he drops like a stone. Now if he only wouldn't scream 'Mom Mom Mom Mom Mom' all the time

I can't wait to pick up some petite harnesses and take my little acrobatic green cheeks out!

Wow, congrats to you. Good job. I'd be excited about the future , you're going to have a life long companion that most could only dream about. Charlie is very lucky to have such a great parront.

The stand was bought by Jeanne and mother when they went out to ABBA on one of their supply trips for the shelter. I hate the bottom since it just doesn't make sense in my opinion but the top is good for Kelly. Enough space to pace around and move but not as easy to get off of and get into trouble. Though teaching him to fly will kind of negate that idea!

i feel like learning Jerry how to fly was a bad idea. Now he wont sit with me longer than say 5 mins. He would rather fly off to his toys or back to his perch
