You teach them. You intervene before anyone gets hurt, or things get to the point where it's out of control...

I don't care if it's a kid, or a dog, or a horse, or a parrot...

I don't understand why this is a hard concept to grasp!

But that's a different sentence: "You know how kids are! What can you do?!"

If you take the responsibility, you don't need to take the blame.

Cuz it gets done, or it gets prevented...

BIG! BIG! BIG! News! Sunny has started letting me touch him! Day before yesterday I asked Sunny if he wanted to step up, he did not back away, he did not step up, he just bowed his head. So i pet the top of his head just a little. I was happy, this is the first time Sunny has ever alowed touch by my hands. After that he has started bowing to me more and more, I pet his head a few times a day now and Sunny likes it, he closes his eyes and fluffes his feathers. I can't belive he sudenly likes touch. And it's not just me, he has let my son and husband pet him too! Just had to share

This is the fear and trust thing.

Once they get over the fear, and they learn it's a good thing and isn't going to kill them, they allow it. In fact, they can't get enough of it...

It's getting them to go past it once or twice that's the hard part.
