The Mod Team wanted to take an opportunity to give you all an update about Terry, as she's been absent for a while and folks have been asking about her welfare. We'll spare you the details for now, but she did unfortunately suffer quite a serious accident in June, and while she is on the road to recovery it's a slow process so she is unable to be among us just yet. She says she misses us and wishes she could be here, and we all feel the same way about her too.

In the meantime, if anyone would like to offer some words of support and well wishes for Terry here you're more than welcome to do so, we know she would very much appreciate your thinking of her.

There's a Forum just for Parrots and it floats upon the breeze,
High above the cages and the perches and the trees,
With eyes upon the birds in nests, on fingers, in the skies,
Reachin' out to share their joy, or soothe their lonesome cries.

Oh, Terry, Long-time Mod, it is a guiding force you lend,
With hands out to the joyful and the suffering souls you mend,
You run a parrot sanctuary; needy birds abide,
But you help creatures of all kinds, just walking alongside.

From tiniest of sparrows to the biggest of the beasts,
A quiet benefactor, where the goodwill never ceases.
The puppies, mice and rabbits, they gather round her feet,
They seek and find the solace that turns sad songs into sweet.

And not just animals, you know... she also hears OUR call.
Her "rescues" have extended to US, birds and beasts and all.
The kind support and real life feedback, offered honestly,
More than she can ever know, she's helped me endlessly.
