Definitely an awwe moment.. but i can't help but think.. in the twisted part of my mind... what if he was trying to EAT his dead comrade... "WAAAHHH! NOOOO!" revised to "BACK OFF MY NUGGETS"

Animals are quite emotional, I question anyone's intelligence level that says that animals don't feel pain

Very sad, and sweet too. There was a mama deer near my parents house that kept coming to stand by her baby that had been hit by a car. The game commission eventually took the dead baby away so mom wouldn't keep standing close to the road.

Yeah elephants are the same way. They will come back for years to the spot where there loved one died. Some have even been seen caressing the bones that were left from mates of offspring that had died 5-10 years before.
