What a pretty little bird! I’ve seen them advertised on a website where you can order (very expensive) parrots and finches online, maybe the finch farm?

Is she a pied kakariki? I hear they are very active. I was thinking a bit about a kakariki after I lost my Quaker two years ago but couldn’t find much information about them.

Hi Heather G, thank you for your kind comment. Sunny is a pied Kakariki. We were told that it was a male from the aviary where we got him, but I'm still not sure. He is vey active. They are amazing birds. I got another Kakari yesterday so Sunny could have a friend. The blue bird looks like he is definately a male, he looks bigger than Sunny, but he is a month younger. They met out of their cages and liked flying around together in my lounge and seemed to get along very well. Here they are together! X
