I've entered my very first dog grooming competition and I'm super nervous !

One of my clients has very kindly agreed to let use his gorgeous cockerpoo, and I've been growing him out since February.

Only now, I'm having a freak out because I'm questioning my skill! I've never had my work judge like this before nor have I groomed with an audience ekkkkk!

Why on earth did I think this was a good idea ?I feel overwhelmed and under prepared!

Here's a picture of the doggo.

(He has coloured ears and tail, and I know it's controversial and not every one agrees with it , but, I use vegetable based dye that is specifically formulated for dogs and he absolutely loves having his colour applied -he is being pampered after all-amd he absolutely thrives off the attention he gets )

Please wish my luck !

Ooooh I think you will do fabulous and you'll end up having way more fun that you think you will! He looks great! I can't believe how perfectly symmetrical his muzzle is!

I worked at a small animal clinic for a long time, with a groomer next door, and I swear the poodle types do appreciate looking extra fancy :D

Maybe not grooming but come on! Haven't you by now gotten used to doing Everything with a judgemental audience?

Heh, who among this grooming so-called audience is gonna come bite your hand or unpick your stitches if you do something wrong? Or squawk in your ear if you make a wrong move? No one? And they call themselves "judges?" REally????

Just imagine it's Albie on your shoulder, critically looking-over the details of your grooming work the whole time, and you'll be fine.
