Thought you may like my tattoo of my budgies, Sully and Sprout :) *Not my art, but on my body!*

Midori - ~40 year old Yellow Crowned Amazon. My iPad kid.

Sullivan and Sprout - two male budgies of unknown age who are happily married.
Done by Amber Sage at Asylum Tattoo in Fort Myers, FL! It depicts my two fruity little budgie husbands on a vase with some protea flowers as accents.

Beautiful. Do your birds tolerate the ink? My daughter and sister nearly had me talked into it. However, my CAG has made it her mission to remove my daughter's ink. It's hysterical. Daughter can't turn her backside toward CAG.

Hahaha oh no!! Well I've been tatted since they've known me. The budgies are pretty much feral little rescues anyway, so I don't think they care what I look like as long as I don't disturb them from their very important no humans allowed budgie business.

I'm not a big fan of tattoos but maybe a budgie somewhere. Those are really nice.
If you're worried about how your bird will react to a tattoo would it help to make it a temporary one first to see if they freak out?

That's actually a really smart idea!

That does sound like a good idea. It mighr work on some. I have to go that extra mile to get exact same style (now archaic) glasses, watches etc. Bandages are removed faithfully. Socks (once in place) are examined to ensure they are socks. My necklaces are examined. If they move, they are ignored. I consider myself lucky because a simple ouch discourages scab picking.

Never thought of it but parrot tattoos would make great visuals with all the colors. Refreshing idea compared to all the others of roses, wings, skulls etc. I like it.

[starts googling nearby tattoo artists, specifically ones who would take homestead goodies in trade]

What's the going rate for a masterpiece these days? And how much would that be in turkeys? 😂

Live turkeys? An artist might give you free work in exchange for NOT inflicting turkeys upon them 😂
