I have an 8 month old BFA I was wondering everyones opinion on rope whether it be toys or perches. I've heard horror stories of birds getting caught in them and getting hurt or killed...as of yet I haven't bought Parker any toys with rope of any kind...
Thanks
Heather

Youi just need be a good parront and monitor their situation. There's tons of unsafe things that they can involve themselves with and they need you to be in charge.yes rope toys and perches can be a hazard but your there to keep their best interest in mind.

I agree with henpecked- use your good judgement. I personally wouldn't use any rope that isn't secure- can be tightened or loosened, and especailly any rope that is tied a loop. We have plenty of rope toys, but all are safely tied and knotted to perches and just hang in strands.
