So I bought this cargo net some time ago from mysafebirdstore.com. Decided to get it out today and see what I could do with it. The plan was to build a bird room, so it can be put up more permanent, but we are in the process of trying to add on a bigger garage, so that has to wait a little. So, I used the curtain rod, and Maverick's cage as the point to hang it from. It actually worked out pretty well! (Temporary, of course!) Both birds seems to enjoy it. It's both a good climbing toy and a chewing toy.
And of course, photos:

I always seem to grab photos of Maverick messing with his feathers. Probably because it shows the colors! lol!

Mopar and Maverick look like they are really enjoying that net!
Fantastic pics of them both, I get so excited when I see you have posted new pictures:)

Do Mopar and Maverick seem to get along? Is Mopar still a fairly young bird? He has an amazing amount of blue for a BFA even his subspecies! Very cute pics!

Both absolutely beautiful! I will say it again..I envy your picture taking MAD SKILLS!!!!

:)

Thanks! They really do mean everything to me. Glad you like the photos! I always feel that I take too many of them. ha! But it's fun. :)

I do 100% supervise their interactions, and if I am not with them in the same room, then they are separate. Trying to get them used to eachother slowly!

Also took Maverick to the park, again. This time for a little longer, so he gets more accustomed to the harness. The last two photos show why it takes me so long to get him back out of the harness.. he just LOVES to chew and wrestle with it. However, it took me only about a minute to get it on him today!

Once I get good with the harness on him, I'm going to start trying to get Mopar into one. Which will be much harder. I really should have trained him as a youngster. lol!

Great pictures !!! {I like the zon waving]

He is still pretty young. He will be three in april. He did loose quite a bit of blue after the first molt. Now it's been about the same. So it'll be interesting to see if he maintains the blue or looses it!

As far as them getting along, they seem to tolerate eachother. I haven't seen any aggressive behavior from either bird so far. So we shall see. I've been slowly introducing them, let them hang out for a little bit, then put them back in their own areas.

..and the little bugger making it hard to take photos. ha!

He climbed from the net, jumped on my arm, and climbed down to the camera strap. He is definitely not one to be confined to one area!

My birds LIVE on the cargo nets. I've got two big ones on either side of the big playstand, and Sally has her own on her playstand.

Cargo nets are well worth the money!!!

I completely agree! This was probably the best investment for them thus far! They really seem to get a kick out of it! :)

Well, mine were definitely a lot more active once I got the big cargo nets on the playstand. (I have two big 8 ft by 6 foot nets. Sally has a smaller one.) There's so much perching space, and so many places to run around on that thing, that you can actually put quite a few birds in a relatively small space, and they'll all find their own little spot.

just gotta say, your birds look extremely healthy and well groomed! Good job :D

Thanks! I try my best to make them happy. :)

Decided to do some more shots of the birds on the cargo net. Maverick is starting to become quite the stinker, though. He was bossing Mopar around. So I eventually just let them each have their own time on the cargo net, or distracted Maverick with the boing.

Gotta love the Hawkhead stubbornness!

They are both gorgeous birds and I always love seeing your pictures of them! :D

You are so gifted as a photographer! Most impressive! You capture quite well the beauty of your birds.
