Does anyone else have birds that like to sleep in an unusual way?

This is a picture of Cheeky (on left, father) and Popeye (on right, Son) in there typical sleeping location.

Cute!

Well, the Rb just kind of hangs his head (probably in well-deserved shame)!

Hmmm, what is the likelihood that it is the only high perch in the cage? Most parrot like to sleep on the highest perch. Worth looking at.

there is another identical food dish on the right hand side of the cage.
I think they sleep together for warmth and protection.

we keep temperature at 68 deg. F and they don't need protecting from anything, I think it's just instinct. Looks cute though.

Hmmm, and there I was thinking it was a issue of sleeping on that perch. Yuppers, some will get close to each other and others will sleep on the far ends of the cage.

I had a conure that would sleep on its back on the cage bottom

I freaked out the first time I realised lorikeets sleep on their backs...

Berry sleeps on top of her mineral block every night.:propeller

One of the many things, I love about Parrot Forums, is that every week, I learn something new. Bird's sleeping on their backs! I would not have guess that one. I have seen pictures of an Amazon sleep on its stomach, but wow, a parrot on its back!

I am told that the Bird slept on his back until he (as the Missus says) "became a rooster".
