Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...We just got in, Dr Kristin was very happy with the fluff boys' progress :D
She said his "purple" guys..( forget if its the good or bad bacteria) has gone from 30 to 70% ( she wants to see it at 90) and his "red" has gone from hardly anything to 30%.
She wants to keep him on the antibiotic for another week. Because of my odd work schedule his next check up is the 20th.
So he is definitely improving :D:D.

I had her shorten his sleeves :o he has been getting bold and defiant and needs to understand who is boss around this place  He dropped a couple g's too...from 92 to 87..still in perfect range for a tiel.

That's one of those special "Some Place Of The Rainbow" moments - Happiness Rains with great news!

glad to hear he is on the mend.
good report card.

Great news Jim, will await the all clear around the 20th :-)

Well that is great news, Jim! You and Beebs are on the right track!

Crap now I'm having a hard time giving him his meds..as soon as he see's the towel he bolts! Glad I had him clipped yesterday! He is going to HATE me in a week! :(
Even with a clip he can get a little air and makes a beeline for the chair next to the fridge and runs under the chair to the far corner and have to get on my knees and dig him out..all the while he is yelling at me.
At least I don't have to pry his little beak open to get the syringe in it.

Yes would love to see a video of this but will swap Beebs for Plum, ie a 'too kicking, biting, wriggling, squawking, head thrashing in an effort not to be medicated LOL :) Oh forgot the spitting for the occasions I am successful LOL

David...it was hilarious the other night..I finally had him towled,he does open his beaky to chew the syringe.but just as I pushed the plunger,he was able to move his head,so his meds went all over his face:eek:
I had to let him go to reload the syringe, then grab him again..this time it was successful. When I let him loose,he ran half way up my arm..his "hat" was sticking up REAL high..and his little eyeballs were squinting at me,like he was REALLY p.o. all the while he was screaming at me as loud as he could! lol..It was soooo funny!! But 30 seconds later,he's on my shoulder, talking in my ear, saying " BB a good boy!"
He forgives/forgets pretty quickly lol..

I just love the little guy.

Syrienge didn't work for me I ended getting some meds in her eye lol if it's less than .ml try a spoon with or without added juice and let him llick it up slowly my girl actually thought it was a treat so was a win for both of us!

Jim, Salty and I do a lot of play with a small towel, tug o war, and peek a boo, so he is not paranoid about towels. I didn't bother with one the last time Salty needed Pain Meds, i just hold him, , take his head by the neck and he takes his medicine like a good boy. But he has been known to hold it in his mouth, and shake his head, spraying it all over the place.

So good to hear he's doing well and is even feeling up to giving dad a workout ;)

Beebs is probably cussing you out in 4 different bird languages! :D

@&#$(!%$&)+=#/? :D

Thanks for reporting on Beebs! Glad that he's making a smooth recovery.
