Update on cat scratched conure!

Well my bird Gabriel got attacked by my cat 2weeks ago and had stiches and staples from top his neck all way down his chest and stomach im very pleased to say he has made a miraculous recovery just got his staples out yesterday hes back to his old self just a lil mad at me for giving him all that medicine hes very lucky to b alive i love him so much vet said its extremely rare that he survived and he deff had the will to live i am always carful with my bird and cats iv had him for almost 2yrs and nothin has happened n i turned my back this 1 time and it happened which i wont let that happen again but i was very worried he wasnt goin to survive thank you evry1 that read my storey and gave advice

Glad it seems to be working out. But I maintain that cats n parrots dont mix and that it's just a metter of time before someting like this happens.

I'm thrilled to see this update, I was very concerned for Gabriel. I don't believe your vet was exaggerating about how rarely a parrot survives after an attack like that, in fact a minor scratch can be and often is fatal. Thank you for sharing your story, I know the experience was awful for both of you but your story reminds us yet again that it only takes seconds for tragedy to strike. I hope you and Gabriel have lots of happy years together.

I am so happy to hear the update on Gabriel! He is such a fighter and I'm glad he is doing well now.
