We found a sun conure!!!

I disagree with the sound thing, I can listen to my M2 scream all day but can't stand 5 seconds of conure noise.

That is so sad that he expects bad things from men. SO SAD! That is just so pitiful.
I hope he can learn to trust more. I'm sure it was frightening for him to be in the wild that long as well. Have you heard from his blood test yet?

I agree with that too , but when you don't have a TOO , that screaming is crazy !
The conures can hit high decibels like no other , IMO.
My guys can do their daily shout outs and it doesn't bother me at all.
I could be on the phone and the other person would comment about the loud screaming and I would be like , oh , we're they screaming ? lololol.

I have to agree with the scream part....I can not tolerate conures scream what so ever and it takes a lot for me to loose my patience with my birds scream. But if a conure screams, I loses my cool....

What happens after you lose your cool? lol

Well, here he is little Guy. I could not get a better picture, as you can tell he sorta hates the camera. I think he may be a jenday or a sunday. He is very pretty. and look how shy he is. at least he did not try to eat me!!

Still not sure what we are going to do. He was pretty calm for the time that I was home last night and Joe said that he was less hostile twords him than Clifford was. (clifford has always HATED Joe...)
I guess we will wait and see what happens when we get Bongo home tomorrow.
Hopefully blood tests all come back positave so we can place him in the birdroom.

thanks again for all the support guys!!

Good luck with bringing Bongo home and good luck with the blood tests too.

I agree with all you guys, conures are just... noisey and painful! Hand me a cockatoo over any day :p

I hope all comes back ok so he can have company in the bird room .
He is so pretty ! Poor thing looks a bit shell shocked though , IMO.
Sounds like he is calming down a little bit more , maybe once he is confident he isn't in danger , he will relax completely. I think if all goes well , a week in the bird room with everybody else will bring out his true self. By then you should have your answer whether or not you will want to keep him. Its a big decision , no doubt about it .

He is so beautiful!!! It's true that Conures can be very noisy, but I can not resist their adorable personalities and their beauty.

wow whatever he is sun or jenday guy is gorgeous. when do you get Bongo tomorrow? Alison and sweetie pie:D
