We want to see your homemade toys!

I gave a sola ball to Nameliss. She didn't like them strung. She kept trying to remove it from string. I gave her one unstrung. She was so happy. She sits and nimbles till it's demolished. I stress nimble. She treats them almost gently. Sometimes she'll take it to her favorite chew perch. Because these are fragile, I didn't think that it'd last long. But one lasts her most of the day. Those sola remind me of Quaker puffed cereals. The feel and texture are so similar. I think that these would be great for 'soft' beak birds. View attachment 82041
Wow! That’s amazing that it lasts her that long. Ava tears through them so quickly.

Nameliss is a disassembler. Maybe that's why it lasts so long. Small birdie bagels last her days. She carefully removes each layer. I gave her a shred roller paper. She pulls off a length tears it from roll. Then chews that piece into confetti. Dropped un-confetti strips are retrieved and reduced. The original roll doesn't look used I sometimes wonder if there's a way to determine avain birth signs. Laid date? Hatch date? Nameliss seems like a Virgo. So meticulous, wanting cage bottom cleaned before she walks on it, items in cage have to be positioned just so. She has predetermined times she plays with toys. Some are morning only, others afternoon, and a few upon lights on and off. Then again she may just be weird!
