Some of you may remember a recent post where a member of our forum expressed her heartbreak at having to part with her parrot due to life circumstances beyond her control. She was absolutely devastated because she loves her bird more than some people love their human children. I won’t go into her reasoning, but her choice was a pure and loving one made with her parrot’s best interest in mind.

We’ve been talking for a couple of weeks now and today we spent several hours together talking about what Tsali needs, and how best to meet those needs, and allowing Tsali to decide what he thinks of me.

So it is bittersweet to welcome Tsali to our flock; bitter because of the painful choices that had to be made, and sweet because we are in love with him already. This was an adoption, not a rescue. This bird has been loved, pampered, and given the best care possible; we are honored to be Tsali’s NEXT good home.

This fills my heart. Thank you for taking Tsali in, Dani. What a lucky home to land in!

We are the lucky ones! We had been thinking we would get a grey in a few years and were not looking yet, but sometimes hearts call out to hearts and I fully believe that this is the right choice. We are so blessed to have met him!

Wonderful News!
Congratulations & Best wishes to All.

A wonderful and bittersweet story indeed. Members helping members in the community. I love that. A blessing. Welcome home, Tsali!

What everyone above has said!

Congratulations, both of your hearts came together and a wonderful thing happened!

He/she is a beauty.
I am sure you will have many enjoyable years ahead.
Grays are amazing!

Oh gosh. I might have a few tears in my eyes. I was so sorry to read the post about Tsali needing a new home, and now I’m so happy to know she landed someplace safe and wonderful.

What an inspiring chapter in the life of Tsali, beloved by her former servant but now in the loving hands of a great family. Seems the best possible outcome given the situation and agonizing choices.

Thank you everyone; he is an amazing guy and I’m quite smitten.

Dani, this so warms my heart! Tsali could not have found a more wonderful home, and I am sure that helps ease some of the pain of having had to make such a heart wrenching decision. Tsali is a lucky boy to have so much love in his life, right from the beginning.

So happy to see this!

Congratulations to Tsali and your flock Dani!

I was wondering what was going on with him/her.
I expressed great interest in Tsali to Steph in PM's..I miss having a Grey in the family terribly. A day doesn't go by that I don't think of Smokey.

Tsali sure looks wide/bright eyes! I'm over-joyed that Tsali landed in the best flock possible :D

I keep looking with great anticipation for posts from Wes about his beautiful Ms Bella, now there is a "new birdie on the block" to focus on lol.
I know you'll be posting stories and photo's ( you BETTER! ;))

I keep saying that this forum is an amazing community..it's all about and all for our feathered companions AND the parronts of these amazing creatures.Non-birdie people just don't understand.

Once again...CONGRATS! woooo-hoooo :D

I’m very glad Tsali has a great new home. How is Tsalis first mommy doing. I had such mixed emotions when I read the thread. As long as everyone involved is happy I’m happy. A little sad cause I know how hard this has been. Tsali found a great home and everyone is very fortunate.

A very emotional thread, yes, but I think this is the best thing that could have happened.
I'm happy for Tsali and Dani, and relieved for Steph.

Oh this is why this forum is amazing. I’m so sorry for the sadness surrounding Tsalis change of homes but SO GLAD he flew into your home. I am a bit partial to greys and I am sure your home and heart is perfect for him.

Welcome Tsali to you new home with loving people.

Wow, this is great news. Im sure you guys are going to get along like a house on fire. Im also happy that his last flock can now focus on the really important things going on in their lifes, they must be sad to lose Tsali though.

good luck guys

Good to hear Tsali has gone to you instead of somewhere else! He looks like he's having a good time. Sometimes a bit of bad has to happen in life but it can result in a better life on the whole. At least Tsali's former slave knows he's in good hands
