Indian Ringnecks
I have 3 pairs of Indian Ringnecks, in outdoor aviaries (immaculate setup, care and diet) all different ages, my 3 girls have laid eggs this season and I replaced their real eggs with fake eggs, they are still happily sitting on their fake eggs, but over the last few days the girls have developed little pale lumps at the opening corners of their beaks, all 3 girls have same lumps at same time on same spots near beak…is it because their eggs haven’t hatched? They have no babies? Has anyone seen this before? All 3 girls are perfectly healthy and just happily sitting on fake eggs. The 3 boys have no lumps. These photos are of one of the girls but all 3 girls have same lumps.

I am wondering if this is something to induce the males to feed the females, as I know the gape of the bill can be more colorful or obvious in baby birds (supposedly for that purpose). Or maybe this will help the mother feed the babies, for example to be produce more crop secretions?
