Patience. Lots of patience lol. And an amazing sense of respect for how truly amazing these animals are. I grew up with 3 very well adjusted parrots and THOUGHT I had experience, but adopting a "trouble" bird definitely threw me for a loop! He was definitely a challenge in the beginning, but I wouldn't trade my little guy for the world
