Last Wednesday I brought a new baby home! Her name is Phoebe. Over the past couple days she’s been interested in the top of her cage, so I let her roam there for a bit today. Ever since then she’s been super interested in that area and I can’t tell if it’s for better or worse. I let her on top again later and she kept exploring at the back of the area. She kept digging around in the curtain and tried to crawl underneath.
She’s been doing amazing with stepping up, she will do so flawlessly most times and very willingly. But when I reached my finger to step up on she backs or runs away.
She’s way too young to be trying to nest or have any hormonal behavior. So this stumps me.
I have no clue why she’s doing this and that’s what’s bothering me the most. What is she doing and why?
(I tried attaching a video but it didn’t work, if anyone is interested in seeing it let me know)
