What Is The Best Way To Sanitize A Used Bird Cage?

Vinegar water?

Bleach water?

Natures Miracle Bird Specific cleaning solution?

I am open to all and any suggestions.

If you intend on using it pretty soon then vinegar solution works just fine. But if you just want to sanitize and use later, bleach works fine as long as you give it a good rinse.

A product I really like is F10. Only in the last few years did it become readily available to the average pet parent

To really sanitize it use the F10SC. Sorry but bleach and vinegar doesn't kill the stuff off like this stuff does. Just remember, with the SC one you must rinse if off really well.

I scrubbed the cage down outside, hosed it down, and used Hibitane on it, then rinsed very well and left it in the sun to dry...put the cage in the sun for a few days and all was well....
The bird has been living happy and healthy in the cage since the summer...

For the actual cleaning, aside from disinfecting, I use a water blaster, the same type people often use for cars, bikes and concrete driveways (gets algae off). Much better than scrubbing as the water stream will reach into nooks & crannies that brushes miss.
