What is the ideal age to get a baby sun conure?

What is the ideal age to get a baby sun conure? I am supposed to get one in a couple weeks that was born on 8/8. I am concerned if it is to young?

If the baby is fully weaned it is not too young. If not, please wait until he is weaned.

I started visiting Phoenix at 10 weeks old. He wasn't weaned and they suggested that normal weaning is around 13 weeks. Of course Phoenix took 16.

You can use this time tho for visitation so when it does get to come home the transition is that much easier.
Phoenix was so used to me by time he did come home he was out of the travel cage and on my shoulder within minutes.

Wait for it to be fully weened you don't want to sit around with syringes.... THEN, Just wait till the wings change and turn yellow and blossoms into a full sun conure.....You have a pretty baby now, but when it turns into a swan....(it will) they look radiant.
