Twitter, 3yo greencheek conure..Paco 15yo Orangewing Amazon.
Do they even play with toys? Paco pretty much just sits there doing nothing.
Preens a bit, eats a bit and chirps now and again.
Also if you tell me where you got it or how you made it that would be great...

Even my greencheek doesnt really play with toys. She has one that she will sit up under and kinda chew on.But she ignores the rest. She prefers to play with paper, under paper, chew up paper.Or of course she loves to destroy my laptop.

Foot toys, anything he can hold in his claw. Baby toys, easter eggs, popcycle stickes. Merlin loves knots on his hanging toys, w/beads. He also loves balls, currently a ping pong ball is his fav, it makes funny noises when dropped. lol

So far Pete's favorite seems to be little pieces of wood he can cart up to his top perch, hold in his foot and chew on. Although he is still afraid of the new one I gave him yesterday:rolleyes: He also likes bells, and this big hanging ladder thing I found at Pet Supplies Plus.

I forgot about foot toys.I think it will be awhile before Paco goes to the bottom of his cage though, its pretty far down. I feel so bad his cage is soooo empty.

My greenie loves foot toys, thats the one thing she will play with for a long time, lego men, a cat ball, plastic bottle caps are her favorite.

I know, Petey's cage is very empty, too, compared to my other birds. But, it takes him forever to accept something new, and he doesn't play much anyway. I suspect amazons would rather sit on the couch, watch TV and eat junk food! He reminds me a lot of my last bf.

Yesterday though he had a lot of fun stomping all over my keyboard, lol! He's never done that before. He jumped off my lap, ran over to it and started stomping all over it. Usually it's Rowdy and the cat who mess up the keyboard.

Jake's favorite toy in the whole world is ....ME, She'll play with most anything, when I'm not around. Or her favorite toy is whatever i have in my hand at the time, LOL

Of course Jake has her evil toy,,the dreaded..Yellow bird

Out of all the many toys that Codie has, she seems to prefer shoe laces which I put lots of knots in... then she spends hours undoing the knots lol and she loves Yoghurt pots :D

Nice video..Should I decorate his cage with tools?? Im sure my hubby wouldnt mind be using his.LOL

Your Welcome, hope it made you smile

Actually Pete has taken lately to climbing onto his toys and swinging around the cage. He has a hard time gripping 2 of them though. What might be a good toy that he could grip, and hang upside down, attached to it? A big plastic chain would do the trick, but he chews on plastic and anhilates it quickly.

Lucky loves all kind of paper in toys(pillows, muffin bases, etc.). He also go nuts about wood ice-cream sticks. A, end my boyfriend too;)

Tika has a plastic small chicken she throws it yells at it and carries it all over. Also likes a dusting sponge that's made of microfiber. She pulls at it and likes to stand on it. I also have some rings of hard plastic that keep her entertained. But the yellow chicken is her favorite for sure.

I do want to get him one for outside the cage. In the cage though I'm thinking it would take up a lot of room. I'm hoping if I hang one from the ceiling that he will use it. Mostly when he's out of the cage he just wants to sit with me.

They used to make these rope swings that were shaped like a circle, but I never see those anymore.

FeeBee loves his bell toys. Any type of toy, as long as there is a bell attached to it. He rings them and then sings/whistles in the morning and evening. He also regurgitates to them. And you had better not try to touch them.

One time he undid the pear-shaped link that attaches it to the top of the cage and it fell to the bottom. I thought he killed himself it was such a loud bang when it fell. I tried to reach into his cage and hang it up for him again and I swear he would have shredded my hand like a garbage disposal if I would have touched it. He sat at the bottom of the cage guarding it for 2 hours. Finally, I couldn't stand to see him sitting down there looking so sad so I kept him back with a big white paper towel and got it hung up again.

FeeBee loves all his toys and plays with them lots. He really loves to climb and hang upside down from the top of his cage to play with them. I have some of those plastic rings hanging in his cage and he will hang upside down from them and beat on them like he's trying to kill them. He plays really rough with his toys when he's upside down. ha ha My poor husband really thinks he's going to kill himself because he has fallen off a couple of times and had to try to flap hard and grab onto something else on the way down (he came to us clipped).

The only thing he doesn't do much of is chew wood. He will chew on rope or leather but really doesn't touch the wooden blocks much.

My Blue Crown conure used to unscrew all the links everyday, but never tossed the toys down. I would come home from work and they would all be undone. I'd screw them all back, and the next afternoon when I came home, they were all undone again, lol! Finally I put a bunch of them together to let her unscrew and throw around, and she loved that.

So basically all birds are like kids. They would rather play with the box then the toy.Or the links or the paper or whatever.
I just hate seeing such an empty cage.
Im going to make a roll around perch thing if I can.I love to make stuff so this will be fun.I just havent figured out if I should make it out of pvc or wood.
