Early Bird's is the 'hand tent' I just hold up my hand and she presses herself into it 😍

That's who my boys named him after.
Not cuddling, but Happs favorite spot is perching on my chest. Her relaxing time, and of course some smooches.

Oh boy, Salty is NOT a cuddler. I envy those of you whose parents do like to, though. Tesla for example, I would love it if Salty would slow down enough to get close to snuggling like that. Must be a macaw or conure thing, no Amazon I've had or known liked to cuddle. My Maxie, though, a brotogeris, would snuggle and fall asleep in the crook of my neck. That Tesla pic is so cool and heartwarming. After seeing that pic, I don't know why everyone doesn't run out and get a blue and gold macaw.

My little guy loves to be right next to my neck. HE never is calm enough to cuddle for long. He is a crazy baby conure. He would rather roll around in my hand and nip my fingers than cuddle. I hope as he gets older he will chill out a bit be happy to just sit.

Skittles used to like to lay on his back on my shoulder and chew on his nails, but he hasn't done that in a while.

Now he prefers to climb inside my shirt and rub his face and head in my chest hair. Time and again I will lift up my shirt and he's just laying there with his eyes closed. I really want to catch him doing that but I hate disturbing him when he's being so cute!

I tend to encourage climbing into my shirts as he likes it, its like his own little cuddle hut so he gets his burrowing need met and he doesn't chew on my shirts anymore (well, nowhere near as much as he used too).

Personally, I think talking birds are over-rated. While they are cute and great, non-bird people seem to think that non-talking birds are worthless. For me, I'd take a cuddlebug bird over a talking one any day. I've been VERY fortunate, every bird I've owned that I had a VERY strong bond with- were cuddle birds. Even my first budgies. My budgie Sammy loved to hang out in my armpit.

I love everybody's stories! I am a little jealous of the shirt birds, and the sleep on the chest bird. Everybody is so darn cute!

Wrench13 does Salty give kisses?

Auri's really fond of my hand and getting scratched under her chin and on her cheeks/head.

I sadly don't have a picture to prove it but Pazu loves to be held like an ice cream cone. Feet perched on thumb, lying back in my hand, he does it a lot.
He's a cuddly bird, since cutting my hair short he likes cuddling up to the side of my head.

Unbelievably, Nigel is a cuddler. He climbs onto my lap or my husbands and cuddles wherever he finds a comfy spot. Ugh the cuteness. I guess knowing most greys don't do this makes it sweeter.

Salty does give kisses when asked. But when he is in play rough mode, he will do a quick grab onto my lip. Not hard but he definitely has a good hold on it. And its because we allow him to give kisses that he includes lips when playing. He accepts scratches but it's when he wants them. When he does, it's scratch me time and he closes his eyes, and does the open and close his mouth thing, same as my Maxie used to do. I always stop before he does, because I've read that it leaves them wanting more. Don't know for certain if that's right, maybe 'Boats or some one who knows amazons really well could chime in on that? But up to now Salty is NOT a cuddler. I kinda miss that because Maxie was.

I love seeing everybirdy at their sweet times, thank you !
