I got this parrot stand a few years ago off marketplace or Craig’s list.
I want to use it for Clara now because she likes sitting near the windows.
But I got no clue what the material the bowl’s are made of.
They seem heavy for their size.
I don’t have a magnet handy to see if they are non Farris.
I wouldn’t put water in it regardless of what it’s made out of but a few munchies…..IDK.
As a kid we had a teapot that was made out of pewter and it reminds me of that in color but not texture. The teapot was smooth these have a more rough feeling.
Any idea?

No idea. Nickel plate will eventually oxidize like that, but that's just me having worked with musical instruments for many years. Maybe find some bowls that sit inside those and maybe a little taller/deeper so there's no contact with whatever it is? Not sure if there's any kind of replacement bowls that have the same thread to fit.

I'd do the same. When time take one with me to a pet store for replacement.

The bowl is non ferrous, magnet doesn’t stick to it.

Every pet store I’ve seen that sells parrot dishes.
Plastic with hooks to hang on bars.
Or
Metal stainless steel with their own mounting bracket/hardware.
I have never seen screw on bowls for sale by themselves.

If anyone knows where I can order them I would be obliged.
I need to go out tomorrow to a hardware store and will swing by the best pet shop (for bird supplies) at same time. I will be able to find out size and thread……makeup? Don’t know the right word, like 1/4 20 or whatever.
Will get nuts to match so I can take current bowls off just to be cautious.
It’s not ment for a long term place to sit anyway.
