What pellet/commercial foods do you use?

I know pellets/commercial foods are not recommended as the main food source and veggies should be the majority of it. I’m just looking for something that can be supplemented with the chop that I make. I know there shouldn’t be any food coloring or vitamins added also, and that’s why I’m having trouble finding one. They all seem to have these additives. Thanks for any input.

Tops is great for no food coloring or vitamins but sometimes it's hard to get birds to eat it. My eclectus loves it, my cockatiel will not eat it and instead gets roudybush.

I thought pellets are bad for eclectus.
Something about soy used in making them.

Pellets for eclectus is heavily debated but not all pellets are made equally. TOPs doesnt have soy, corn, added vitamins, chemical preservatives or dye. Which eliminates most if not all of the controversial ingredients.

Which specific Tops? I looked on their website and they have a lot of different ones. Thanks

Harrisons makes a very good high quality bird food. Willow eats primarily pellets because s(he)s a picky bird, lol

There should be only one TOPs just different sizes. What kind of bird are you looking for? Mini is good for small birds like cockatiels and budgies, small is good for birds like conures. Small is good for bigger conures, small amazons. All sized is good for eclectus, bigger/medium amazons, macaws, etc

I give Jasper 5 Harrison's pellets a day (adult lifetime coarse pepper) and as a treat he'll get 1 or 2 nutri-berries a week.

I also use TOPs! They aren’t like other pellets- their ingredients are organic and cold pressed! I also use Harrison high potency as a sprinkle and handy dandy pantry sprouting seeds (I sprout).

I do mostly fresh veggies , but my pair like a varying diet . So nutra berries , supreme , tops and a brand that looks just tops from bird tricks website . Some times I crush some nutra berries on veggies. some treat foods as stand alone . Corn on the cob , mango , coconut , artichokes funny to see them tear it apart.

My ekkie gets fresh veggies twice a day. As well as roudybush pellets and seed mix. She is not fond of fresh foods honestly. I've tried fresh, frozen, chop, puree....She is picky. I typically have to sprinkle some seed or pellets on top of the veggies to get her interested.
