What should i do at the second week of getting the birds?

So i got the birds 2 weeks ago and so far nothing really is happening i gave them time to settle in the enviroment and gave them food and water but i can feed them through the bars but when i put my hand in they really want to bite even tho the got used to my hand, and btw they are 2 parakeets/budgies what should i do to get them come on my finger?

Put yourself in their shoes- they are tiny prey birds and a large predatory looking creature (you) is reaching for them, to do what? Grab and eat them? They don't know! You are getting a fear response because they don't know what your coming at them for with your hand. You say they will take treats through the bars, have you tried offering treats from your hand while it's inside the cage? Lay your palm flat and put some treats in it, see if they'll hop on to eat the treats. Keep you hand very still at first and even if they just hop on, grab a treat and get right off, that's still great progress! Eventually you can use food to entice them onto your finger and then teach them how to balance while your hand moves, but first you have to teach them not to fear your hands. And remember, EVERYTHING with parrots takes time and patience. Go at their pace, it is not a race and there is no deadline for them to become comfortable with you, so take as much time as they need to earn their trust

Also don't go to far into the cage, stay right near the door like you hit a force field an inch or two inside the door. And certainly don't reach for them, they will come to you in time. Just keep talking to them and no sudden movements or jerks, even if....especially if they bite (and if you can help it). That just will reinforce that they can make you flee if they bite.

Kiwibird gave you excellent advice. Remember, parrots don't share a human's concept of time, all birds are individuals, they may need a lot more than two weeks to adjust to the new surroundings. Be patient, your main focus should be making them comfortable, offering a good diet and working daily to give your budgies reason to trust you.!

Great advice. Parrots ( and budggies are parrots) are all about trust. You will need to work with them EVERY DAY to bring them into your flock (family). Patience, patience and then more patience is the key.

All absolutely true! Remember from their viewpoint Their life up to this point has been as a victim, with no control over anything that happens to them! Which must be terrifying! Give them time to trust you and to realize that they do have their lives back again!
