What should I do

Sunbeam has been with me for a year and a half. I don't know much about his background. Other than he is 4 years old and DNA tested as a male. Today we were sitting on the porch and he started saying "Hello Einstein" I repeated the name back to him. He was surprised! My question is, could this possibly be his name before and should I start calling him Einstein?

Use Einstein randomly and evaluate his response. It could be his previous name. It could also be someone else's or a word he likes.

He's a real chatterbox! I'd call him whatever you want- he won't care. Some of my birds have more than one name. Corona is also Big Fluffy. Joey is JoJo and Baby Girl.

This is the odd situation for people that adopt parrots who talk. They’ve already learned many words. I have a parrot who repeatedly says “c*nt”. His words are crystal clear too. One of my parrots says “shut up just shut up”. Clearly someone found him loud. I don’t care if my parrots are loud.

Thank you all for your response! I have been randomly calling him Einstein and his reaction is always the same. He seems shocked that i say it and he fluffs is head in excitement! Am going to call him both, maybe Einstein when he is being a stinker bird and sunbeam when he is being the sweetest animal on the planet!
