What Species Will work well with a cockatiel

I am thinking of adding a small parrot to my flock and would love to have it be compatible with my Wt Face cockatiel Kodak. I have a large cage and would like to house them together if possible.

In your experience what other species (other than a cockatiel) usually gets along with a male cockatiel?

a red rump. i have a rosella and a red rump housed together and they get on brilliantly. red rumps are so sweet and make cute little chirpy noises. x

It all depends on the bird! At times even two cockatiels won't get along! However, I'd always go with something around the same size or smaller if your cockatiel is friendly. Like a Lineolated, Bourke, Rose, grass... ect. Introduce them slowly in neutral territory and make sure to scrub and reorganize the cage before putting them both in there so it doesn't 'belong' to anyone and don't leave them alone in the same cage until you're sure they won't fight.

That goes without saying! I have done the quarantine many times. Can't take a chance on my other FIDS getting sick :22:

I'm actually leaning towards a green cheek conure but not sure as of yet.
