So my husband asked me for my Christmas list and I sent him this. He laughed at me. Seems like a perfectly normal list to me...

Love your list! No parrots on mine, but my only list was toy parts...that I needed early.I'm making every bird in the flock a new toy.
I think Reg misses the days where I only wanted a mixer!
I have to ask, what is a magic blanket?

It's a weighted blanket that helps with things like anxiety disorders, PTSD and autism spectrum disorders. I've wanted one for a while now but they are pricy.

With the Christmas Tree up and the packages finding their way under the tree. The interesting thing is that the VAST MAJORITY of the presents have the same name listed as To:. Different From: names! And, that Lucky individual is Julio.

Moments before Christmas, other presents will find their way in and out, but that core group will remain in place until Christmas Day.

At some point in a long and happy marriage, the number of gifts decrease to simple exchanges of special small items what hold very deep meaning for each other and little to nothing to anyone else. This because those small items hold closely, memories of each other.

May your Christmas be filled with warm memories!

For the young, making memories and traditions will serve to fill you with the Love of others, and their special place in your heart! The activities of Christmas will change, the traditions will change, but the memories will live on to fill your heart long into the future!

A Very Merry Christmas!

Lovely words, Sailboat :)

Most of the stuff on my list this year is related to birds - like stainless steel cookware, and parrot toys.

I'm lucky that I have most of the things I need (OR... the things I do want are so far out of budget it doesn't warrant thinking about!)

I should have asked for more plants - since Remi came home I've rather neglected my garden and now I'm falling behind the neighbours! Heck no!
(The flowering bulbs have done a great job of being a garden while I've been otherwise occupied)

[Side note: In Southern Hemisphere, so it's growing season. Sort of. Growing and/or getting burned to a crisp. Was 38c/100f yesterday. Merry Crispmas!]

Topping my list at the moment... more threads like this one!

This is great! Wish i had the manners to wait til Christmas [emoji23] i just give out lists all year long!

Ollie's list:
A millet spray all to myself

I'm actually really interested to try out a weighted blanket being ASD myself.

Being a single 24 year old I have asked for very mature things such as video games haha! Oh and for those Blue throats to get to laying some eggs! (Asked last night and none have been laid yet, breeder is surprised he normally has one of his pairs lay around now, but he's got 4 pairs of them so he's pretty confident he should have some before long

Such a cute thread, Dani, Thank you! I hope you get everything on your wish list and more.

My parrots had Christmas early for selfish reasons on my part, I needed them to be happily distracted by shiny new toys while I took care of other responsibilities. They were temporarily distracted but most of the toys have already been disassembled, disabled or both and have already been tossed with the trash, great toys though.

My Christmas list is short this year. My husband is working on Christmas Day so our family will celebrate on the weekend before the new year begins. On Christmas Day, I am helping my mother cook for two of my siblings and three generations of neices and nephews.

My list:

Circus elephants, tigers or giraffes, vintage collectibles not breathing beings. I hate cruelty and the circuses of the past were known for it but I love the art that survived the era.

A music box that plays "Fur Elise".

My husband and adult children are still searching for both items and I confess, it makes me giggle, I'm that ornery.

Full spectrum lighting - I got myself a sun lamp last year that I still haven't gotten around to setting up...on these grey, wintry days I really need to get my butt in gear about finally using the thing for M&M!

Don't need anything for m'self but I'm sure the SO will inundate me with a million things - I'm spoiled...

SO herself getting a few large nice things, tho I went and ruined the surprise in one way or another (it's hard when she pretty much picks out the thing she likes in front of you, and you hafta get there and then, lol)...so it's a last-minute scramble for a few stocking-stuffers so not everything is expected.

Fids themselves will get treats and toys aplenny, 'course...and my folks usual wintry assortment of cozy things (PJ's, gourmet snacks, and the like)

I have never heard of a weighted blanket but it is something I'll have to look into. I find the concept intriguing.

We pick out our own gifts (save a couple stocking stuffer type gifts we get for each other just for fun). I got a sweater and a (very pricey) book I've been wanting. Kiwi got 2 new toys despite deserving a lump of coal after attempting to bite my thumb yesterday:mad::rolleyes:

My actual Christmas list:

A new purse

One of those notepads where you can write on it with a special pen and then erase it with water and then all you have to do its scan it with an app and it saves itself to google docs https://www.amazon.com/Elfinbook-Wa...=1514000548&sr=8-5&keywords=reusable+note+pad <---in case no one has heard of it

The ability to finally decide if I do or don't want another birb

Ollie to have a healthy and happy year

My christmas list..
Meh.

I wanted a Silver Tanzanite bracelet
Paint my Wagon the musical
Bird stuff (Not getting any)
A friend for Maiboch (We decided finally that with me moving it was a bad idea)
(I get a parrotlet for my birthday \o/)
And enough PVC pipe to make a new playstand!

So my Christmas gifts to myself this year...

Turquoise harlequin yearling hen will be named Shallan

And DF Violet pallid male yearling will be named Adolin, pictured here with his parents and sisters.

They will be arriving in January (these pics are from the breeder) even though my husband didn't take me seriously when I said I wanted more birds for Christmas...
