Holy FUDGE is it ever hot here this weekend!! Today it's 37ºC (96ºF) and it' gonna be 35ºC tomorrow. Hottest heat wave we've ever had, from what I understand. It's hot, sticky, and the birds are LOVING it. No one is panting, and the birds got a mist this afternoon. I even have a water bowl out for Yvons.

We're lucky. Rain has cooled it down to the low 90's to high 80's. Humidity is high. So feels the same. Still sticky and uncomfortable for most. But I moved to Texas to sweat!

I wish it would rain. It's been so hot out here.

Going to be 35ºC today. Ick.

July has been pretty toasty here in the Midwest (USA). All week is supposed to be in the 90’s F . Hopefully cooling off a little by the weekend. I always worry about my outside animals in this weather. The goats handle it fine and the ducks can cool off in the pond but for the chickens and quail, I’ve got fans running in the coops and do cold water changes multiple times a day to try and keep them from overheating. As long as it cools down at night we do okay!

It was so hot after 2 days of ungodly weather that I put on my AC. I'm the person who's happy with a fan and if I turn the AC on... You KNOW it's intense! Yvons seems happy, as does the dog, who pants if it's hot, even with her lack of fur.

Gonna be cooler tomorrow. Going to a friend's place to do laundry :)

My weather app says 91 degrees F. Here in the high desert of California.
Humidity is higher than normal desert temperatures cuz we are getting the “monsoon “ cloud cover just now.

My outside thermostat reads 102 degrees F but that could be in direct sun. Afternoon temps are not reliable.

I bet that's miserable for you way up north. 😓. How's the flock handling it? I'm kinda waiting to be miserable. It's 78° and raining. The sun is supposed to come out and temps jump to mid 80's. Misery with that humidity.

The inside temp can reach 82/83 F at times and it’s more uncomfortable for us humans than the birds.
I have never Seen them in distress.
But I do give them mist baths and sometimes even give them crushed ice in the water bowl.

Swamp cooler is normally very effective in my location but with limits.
95 F and below it’s very comfortable.
96-100 F it’s tolerable
100 F and over….. it’s bearable but don’t try to do any housework and cooking…. SMH. Better get it done in the am.

Been using evaporation cooling since early 2000 when electricity started getting to expensive.

It’s 93 degrees here, with 50% humidity. It’s miserable being outside. My sweat has sweat when I go outside. My plants have to get watered. I should have gotten an irrigation system.
