What's the white stuff after shower?

My juvenile conure is clearly molting. I am seeing more and more bright red specs on her head every day. I have been bracing myself for a rough time but she is pretty mellow. My only problem is that she does not step up automatically. At first she did it on command. Then she did it when she saw a treat. Now she does it when she wants to and that can be challenging at times. Any tips with this would be appreciated.

What I learned here is that showers help with the pain of the 1st big molt. She fights to get in but when water is on her, her face is a state of bliss. At times she doesn't seem she wants to leave.

So after the bath, the white streaks on her head are very pronounced. Can anybody explain to me what the white stuff is? I sort of like to understand these things.

it's probably down feathers showing through.

Do you mean the white sheath of the pinfeathers?
Or just the very light-coloured skin showing through the wet and clingy feathers?

I think it is the white sheath of the pin feathers. I think she likes the wet head but I wanted to be sure this is OK and not too much white.
