Ok so some of the things she has recently learned to say I do know how she learned it but sometimes ….

Sick bird.
She already knows the word "bird" and with the corona virus "sick" is a word that has been used a lot recently.

Bella, it's for you.
I got nothing, no idea how she could have heard this and learned to say it.

Come on in.
I have said this like maybe twice (loudly) to my son as he was trying to come in the house and I left to door unlocked for him.

When you're not around or listening, they practice words and then out of the blue, they test it on us. I also believe that they like the shocked look of our faces...

Enzo has sort of stopped learning new words, she much prefers sounds. She can hear a sound once or twice and repeat it perfectly, she likely practises whilst im not around of course.
I recently bought a new makita drill, i used it once, Enzo is now making drill sounds all of the time.
When my motorbike alarm was fitted the guy tested it once to ensure the siren was working, she was repeating it within hours..... that was stressful as i had to keep running to see if my bike was ok.

Of course Greys are known for their vocal ability, i havent had other medium/large parrots so I dont have an opinion on how true that is.

Ain't that the truth!
My favorite is the one time Neptune asked me twice what I was doing. The second time I said why are you asking I already told you. His reply was "I'm thinking..." Never heard him say that before or since!

I think the best out of the blue thing Salty said was one night we were watching parrot videos on youtube, ring necks cuz they are his favorites, and one blue one came on screen. Salty walked right up to it and said "Are you a bird? A pretty bird?". I was floored. Lately he has a facination with the word bird, saying in a long decending tone, "Buuuuurrrrddd" . Cracks us up every time.

You're right - where do they get these from??

CAGS are closet talkers especially early on. They love to practice their vocabulary. I also firmly believe that many times they will not repeat some words until they understand the context or meaning of the word in their mind.
Perjo will not say yes yet, but she’ll say
Grab the chain
Here’s your chain
Take the chain
Eat your chain
See the chain
Where’s the chain
And I’ve not said all those things to her regarding her toy chains

She’ll say happy birdie
Talk to the birdie
See the birdie
Pretty birdie
Go outside and talk to the birdie
And again I’ve not taught her all those variations of phrases regarding birdies

lol!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT. Aside from her general talking, Noodles just keeps wishing herself a happy birthday (which is adorable, but not nearly as funny lol!)

Oh yes, Bella has been mixing up her phrases.
She knows Red Butt Shower but then she comes out with Red Butt Kiss.
She also says Happy Bird.
