The petco I got my little black capped from had a White eared conure that was looking bad over 2 month ago. Well he is still there and looks really bad. I think he is picking his feathers and molting. He is a hot mess of a bird. He would be SO pretty if well cared for. He is shy and not very active. He just seems sad. He is a depressing bird. I think the bird is depressed.
He is way over priced another reason he not selling. A part of me feels bad for not getting him. I picked Sprinkles my BCC the pretty funny active new baby over the poor bird in need. BUT at the same time seeing the white ear that was expensive but not as much as my BCC made me think sprinkles would have the same sad fait. Also sprinkles had a reputation of being a mean bird and most of the employees were scared of him. These birds are priced way too high and never handled well.
I wish someone would buy him. Anyone in Northern Nevada or nor cal looking for a little project bird? I had the crazy Idea of getting him but that would be crazy. My little Sprinkles takes up all my extra time. At the same time I was thinking maybe another Pyrrhura would be nice to have for Sprinkles to talk to and play with. I would not keep them in the same cage but they would be let out together.
No I need to stop it. I am still waiting to see if I inherit a 10 year old green cheek. It is just this little conure needs help badly.....
Anyone know how I can help this bird?
