why from 4 egg just one become bird?

i have a pair of lovebirds, in their first experience, from 4 egg, just one was successful, and again in second try, this happen again (4 egg, 1 chicken), so what is wrong?
what can i do?\

how long did you wait to see if more would hatch?

it could be many things, did you notice if the pair stopped sitting on the rest of the clutch?

I don't have any personal experience with breeding but hopefully someone with more experience can help
