If you haven't had her long, she could just need more space still. She's still getting used to her environment. Just respect her personal space, and learn her body language (might take getting bitten a few times, it sure did with me). She should warm up to you.
Puck was very bitey with me at first. He drew blood every couple of days or so, partially because he was more aggressive with me, and partiallly because I wanted to play with him when he didn't want to play. WELL he showed me! LOL. Now he's a lot more comfortable with me, and lets me bother him more without getting as mad. He still does though, although he hasn't broken skin in a while now.
He noticeably improved after I took him to the vet, where she groomed him and drew blood. He did NOT like that, and bit the vet too! He's been a LOT nicer to me since then!
I'm not sure what age Amazons become adolescent, but that could have something to do with it too. I think it does it Puck's case. He's like a teenage boy. He's moody and tries to mate with me all the time and doesn't care if I say no! LOL
