Why?

Big Parrots, bigger projects! And our Julio loves major redesigning near everything. An afternoon's effort may involve crewing a few perches, shredding several reams of News Papers and a few toys just because! At a slim, but solid muscle, 520 grams, he is on the lighter side of his species; Double Yellow-Head Amazon, which a big female can push 725+ grams.

Why do they do it, because they can! And, they like to stay busy! When Julio is terrorizing a toy, it is something to behold!

I've learned that too. It's 'warped' toy, food & water dish purchases to name a few. I look at items and pictures how my CAG will disassemble, destroy, etc. Then I look at safety under that scrutiny. I have a lot of fun watching her tackling something new.

Because it's fun? Cheap entertainment maybe? Tucker likes to adventure with newspaper once in a while and it's so funny to watch. Sometimes he manages to weave the paper through cage bars and toys. I swear he's a little engineer :)
Sorry this is a little long, a bit under 2 minutes, but I can't resist. He tried so hard...

Oh, he also can not stand strange objects on the kitchen table. Most recently tossed a whole roll of paper towels to the floor 🤣
He just wants to read the paper with his coffee and toast!
