I have a travel cage that I use for emergencies and when the local parrot club goes to displays. It's a smaller cage - fits 2 cockatiels or one pionus in cramped quarters. It used to have an outer cover that could zip up, but my mouse infestation at my old residence forced me to toss it.
Until now it's been sitting empty and I've been wanting to take my guys on walks with Winter (dog) and I. I decided to take the plunge and bought some backpack straps from Amazon. They arrived yesterday and Bam! Boom! Shazam! They fit, with the cage on my back, like absolute charms! Now to wait for the weather to warm up before the fall weather becomes official. I plan on bringing Vortex out at some point. I'm sure she's love the change of scenery!
