Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
Just curious how many of you do your Christmas while owning a CAG. This is my first one with Perjo and I decided to not put a tree up b/c of space (the cage is where the tree usually goes) and the adjustment Perjo would have to make. Maybe next year.

Do your CAGs deal with the tree and all the decorations and hoopla fairly well?

There is a like Thread currently running in the Amazon Forum, check it out!

Yes, there are different approaches to living with Grays and the Green guys, but Socializing is the key in both cases. In addition, your experience of the last eight /ten months should be an indicated of what your CAG can handle and what needs to be slowly introduced.

The activities of the Holidays, starting back in October and running all the way into early January can be over the top for many Humans and Parrots alike, so you really have to be the judge of what your baby can handle!

I've always proceeded on with things as usual. My CAGs have been keen to my own moods and pick up on how I'm feeling so I jus teleport thingsnormal, low key. This is Nigel's first Christmas and he seems to enjoy the tree.

This is the first Christmas with Scooter the CAG living here. She's had no problem with the little artificial tree in the living room, or with the other decorations (including a garland and bell hanging in a doorway just a few feet from her cage). I wasn't sure how she'd react, since she's typically nervous about anything new or different. I've learned that there were lots of holiday decorations in her previous home, and she even had a bow attached to her cage (which isn't happening here).

Our real tree is near where Buzz's cage is. He gave it a few of his warning whistles and growls when it first went up and now ignores it. I'm hoping its up a short enough time that he won't get too comfortable with it so as to put presents and ornaments in danger.

As normal as usual.just have to be more aware of what's going on,is the front door open too long and where is Gracie while it's open stuff like that. Gracie couldn't care less about the tree and decorations. We have our family of8 over Christmas Eve. So far so good

I put up a small artificial tree this year in the same room as my TAG. Didn't seem to give it much of a second thought. Blinking lights and all. Net year bigger and way more real.

Oh DRB got my new humidifier today and can already notice the difference I think; might just be my excitement but I think Timneh is less itchy already.
