Yellow wing patches?

Hey everybody, my alexandrine has started growing bright yellow feathers right above his red wing patches. I've never heard of or seen any other alex parrot doing that. Anybody else seen anything like it? They are symmetrical, two feathers on each side.

He's a great little bird, maybe 8 months old. This isn't a sign of something bad is it?

Could it be that he's not a pure alex parrot?
