I was going to upload a picture on the photo gallery and i might do that later, how ever - this is the picture of my friend he's name is Lector and i instantly fell in love with him in february last year. He have to be about 6 months when that photo was taken by he's breeder.

Lector is absolutely adorable! :D

Jag mår bra, tack ! :D

It's fine i understand completely :)

haha :D I have a few good friends in sweden, they taught me a few basic things! It is such a confusing language though!! :p

Do you have any more pictures to share of Lector? Or stories? :)

hey do y'all know where I can get a clicker

@tab_xo Thats intresting, where do they live and are they parrot parents ?

haha pfft, it's totally logical not at all like English even worse with a sexy Australian dialect!
I have tons and i will dish them out over the coming years on this fantastic forum.

@bittybird527 You get them online or in a petstore, usually under "dog" a parrot is a doge - kindof, almost... But a clicker is a great idea, clicker training helps alot - it's importent to bond with your buddy tho an it could take some time. Talk to him alot and stuff aswell, miracles rarely happens so look forward to some hardwork but rewarding :)

Welcome to the forum!!! :)

Ummm they live around Stockholm i think! Nope, they don't have parrots! They are gamers haha They like Fargo though!

Definitely not!!! Even they say that swedish is more confusing than english! :p

Sounds good! Everyone loves lots of pictures and videos here :)

and exactly right.. Bonding is the most important thing, just takes time and patience!

I found trick training helped with bonding alot! :)

That's an amazing looking parrot! I've never seen one before!

Thank you =)

you seem to have a blue headed, my dad has one - wonderful birds =)

blue front in english obviously

My Blue Front is very sweet. She doesn't talk very well but is very social.

hey Lector, welcome to you and your new friend.

G'day, Dante, and welcome. You have a beautiful bird, glad his other name isn't Hannibal though :) From what I understand, Swedish isn't any better/worse than the other Germanic languages to learn, although it may be a tad more tonal- if the Swedish accent is anything to go by (which sounds sing-song, or lilting, to English-speakers, like Welsh). English is a hodge-podge thanks to the Norman French invaders of 1066, and others, definitely one of the harder languages to learn.

I have one of those sexy Australian accents too :)

Is Yellow! a play on Hello!?

I have one of those sexy Australian accents too :)

HAHAHAHAHAHA ;) Brilliant! :p

Each day my accent gets less Australian.. I listen to videos from last year, and im like wow i sound so australian..

Because all year i have basically talked to swedish, american and english people.. Plus all my family who live in england!!

Now whenever i talk to someone they are like how long have you lived in australia? :20:

When i was in hospital the nurses were like, what is your accent? :20:

I HAVE NO IDEA!!!! :p haha Even had one man ask if i was Canadian.. What..

Swedish people does sound sing songish :09: But they also remind me of the sims characters.. Because it sounds like absolute jibberish to me!

I always thought swedish people sounded like the swedish chef on muppets? :54:

I learnt German when i was at school, thought it was easier, but probably because i was younger, it is much easier to learn when you are younger!

Totally agree with the sims thing! But I have to disagree I find swedish easier than English as its very literal.

Welcome to the forum! :)

i have no idea if we sound like singing or not but i do find similarities with the sims but i can't really pick it out.

What does make English into a hard but fun language is the huge diffrences over the globe and in sub-cultures.

However a big problem in EU is that we have to many languages and english could and are takin over europe aswell. I think we should make a stance and say - "no more english, make the europeain union talk Latin " i would cry of laughter if the english would be forced to learn it.
