I pre focused on the edge of the stainless steel sheet. Right hand holding a dslr and the other to recall the birds. I took about 10 shots and this one turned out to be the best. Luckily for me, my conures respond to recall very well.

This is great! It reminds me of my first bird, Percy, because I always watched him do these daredevil flying tricks. I swore he thought he was a "Blue Angel". He would kind of 'stall his engine' and free fall and then when close to the floor, quickly ascend again.
With Gil I end up getting a lot of pics with his landing gear down. hahaha
