Daphne - BH Pionus
Bella - African Grey (bf's bird)
Hello,
I'm a new member and hoped to get some feedback from Pionus owners whom have more experience than I.
I bought my baby BH about 3 months ago. She was naturally weaned at the store prior to bringing her home.
Today Daphne has been home 4 weeks. About 2.5 weeks ago she began baby begging behaviors and they have now leveled out.
I called the store I got her from and the owner asked questions to make sure she's eating enough. She is - I weigh her daily and weigh her pellets. She's maintaining 212 grams give or take 3 grams or so. (She's food obsessed and very motivated to train)
Store owner told me Daphne might keep this up until 2 years of age. He gave me a couple tips about ending training and fun things when she gets too vocal.
Any tips/experiences for me?
