I have a blue fronted amazon
he was given in to a pet shop my friend owns and when ever i went in there id talk to him well
ive ended up with him he is gorgeous
but when i first had him he would make an awful screaching noise, with his head down and his tail up in the air pressed against the bars of his cage i was told it was a mating call but i dont know all i know was the noise was awful
he lets me give him scritches and he is out of his cage in the mornings, he says hello but nothing else that i can understand he has two claws missing one on each foot but it does not hinder him.
he wont step up but he does put his claw on my hand when climbing out of his cage useing it as a step :green:

Yeah ah I'm not sure what a "mating call" is, their mate is usually right beside them , so no need to call them, the screeching thing is more of , this is my area, hey i'm over here, or i'm all excited, that sort of thing.
