Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(
And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...That is what was asked to me earlier today. It wasn't as cold as it should have been (a tropical 48F) I had to go to his favorite pet store any way..soooo...ok Amy...outside in the car.
I know you folks just have to be hating the "different birdie" story I keep telling but it just truly inspires me and today was no exception. So off we go. It was raining just a tad and I had the wipers on delay. you know that bird sat on my shoulder watching those things go swoosh swoosh back and forth with an intensity I have never seen. with his face inches from my,it wasn't his head that was following the blades, but his EYES moving back/forth with the blades
The roads seemed busier than a normal Saturday ( people doing after Christmas shopping at Wally-Mart Home Depot or Lowes?) and the pet store was no exception. Lots of people,a couple pup-pups walking about and of course chatty fid's This put Amy into amazon over-load to the point that he was saying everything he knows and doing amazon speak. The guys didn't pay much attention but the chickies were all "oh how cute! Listen to IT talk!" ( listen to IT talk! that statement really ticks me off HIM HIM HIM! NOT "IT"!! When he saw the dozen or so of different flavored 'tiels, I think he thought he had met BB's entire family lol He again went into overload with HELLO! HOW ARE YOU??HI BIRD!! The poor cockatiels lol. They froze...hat's HIGH as can be and their eyes as big as pea's lmbo!
So I got the kids supplies. A new 17.5oz bag of crack for BB (millet ) Avi-cakes,Zupreem "Pure Fun" pellets for fluffboy, two honey stix for Amy and a chewy toy for both. cha-ching cha-ching .
He was so happy being out. As I have said many times,he is totally a different bird. I even asked him "what have you done with Amy???"He gently beaked/nibbled my finger, and I mean GENTLY. He went beak-to-beak with me,gently banging my nose like Smokes used to. I couldn't take him right home so soon!,he was having soooo much fun!
So we went to the local market that is down the street from my old house. It too had quite a few people, and it is on the smallish size. I got fresh-cooked drum-stix for him,a plastic bowl filled with ziti and snausage and a small bowl of tapioca pudding :07:
Again he was very chatty and the chicky's who heard him were drawn to him.
On the way out the door and to the car,we met a very sweet young lady a little younger than I..she smiled as we passed each other and said " this is the first time I've ever seen this situation..what an impressive way to meet ladies" and as she went in to the store,I said "what are you doing tonight???" and she yelled back 'NOTHING!!!" LOL Yep...Amy is my chick-magnet!! :60:
