Is my bird too friendly?

Niimii is a four year old female Quaker. Sheā€™s a friendly and gentle bird, mostly. Very cuddly in the evening and during a long car ride. A very good bird except when sheā€™s not. :)

My question is about her behavior when strangers come to the house. Itā€™s not a problem, my guests love it. Sheā€™s not wing clipped and can fly around the house very well. I have to warn people that they need to be aware of her. Sheā€™ll choose one of our guests and attach herself to the persons shoulder. It is very difficult to remove her when the person needs to leave or at her bedtime. She once had a preference for young people or small adults but now goes to anyone.

Sheā€™ll sit on my shoulder when sheā€™s in the mood for some cuddles or at dinner time but her fascination with strangers borders on obsessive.

Anyone else have a bird like this? Is this normal? Itā€™s not a problem that needs addressing but Iā€™d expect a bird to be shy around strangers. Niimii is exactly the opposite.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Seems Niimii is exceptionally well adjusted. Not a bad thing, however it may complicate her safety. Visitors must be prevented from absent-minded walks outdoors or to other areas that may be dangerous.

Might devise a special treat to entice her from separating from a stranger without too much drama.
