I have a five month old pied cockatiel named Kalypso 
. I will be abe to give her attention from 6-9 at night and 20 or 30 minutes before I leave to school. I was wondering what other bird besides another cockatiel that could be her playmate and possibly hopefully her cagemate?

They get along pretty well and try to entertain him all the time (sometimes too much, LOL). I'm rather new to tiels as well, but I noticed that they are rather quiet and not as active as many other species. I heard that tiels do well with budgies, but mine are very afraid of him, although they already dare to eat from his food dish.
