Last week when I picked my daughter up from school, the mom of one of her friends asked me if I would be interested in adopting her female cockatiel Binky. She honestly told me she didn't have enough interest in the bird anymore to give her the attention she deserves. After giving it some thought I decided I would go for it and picked her up five days ago!
She came with her cage and everything, wich is nice and big. She is still quite nervous and quick to hiss, most likely because her previous owner had the habit of picking her up from the back and propping the bird inbetween her boobs to 'cuddle' lol. I've seen this happen, the poor bird looked terrified! I'll be taking it easy with her, she's so shy but has such a sweet demeanour still. She is curious about all her new toys as well and, wich is a good sign I guess. Can't wait for her little personality to come out :)

Now, time for some pictures!

Your tiel is very pretty! She looks like my Maya they are so cute haha. She is lucky you adopted her, poor bird. I can't imagine "cuddling" my tiel like the previous owner did, what was she thinking about? It's so obvious when a bird doesn't like something... I' m sure that she will adopt you as her flock in a very short time.

Hey - I volunteer to be cuddled by the old owner. Just to make sure she does not get separation anxiety or something.
