It's been awhile since I've posted so I'd like to let you know what's going on with my two sweeties. I love these 2 little guys. They are rescues and I never thought I could fall in love with them like I have. They sing and chatter and make noise practically all day long. Since I'm new to budgies I'm assuming that this means they are happy. I rotate their toys and there are some that they don't care for but other they really like. For the longest time they would ignore their little bath tub but all of a sudden they think it's the greatest ever. Their cage is quite large and they love to scoot around all over and they will fly from perch to perch. I've put in several perches of varying thickness and surface which I've read is good for their feet. So far, however, I cannot get them interested in any fruit or veggie other than carrots. Any advice there? Well thanks for letting me go on about how special I think these two sweeties are and thanks for all the great information I receive on this board.:whiteblue:

Glad you stopped by, we love happy updates! It sounds like your special little sweeties couldn't be happier. Budgies are wonderful little parrots!

Since they like carrots already you could try adding finely shredded vegetables and fruits to their shredded carrots. A little crumbled millet, a drop of melted coconut oil or a few drops of 100% fruit juice added to the mixed chop may encourage them to try a few new foods.

Nice to hear from you and that your flock are doing so well and enjoying all the toys you give them. Hope they enjoy Allee's recipe today when you prepare lunch for them :) Looking forward to hearing more soon :)
