hey didnt you already made a post about the same problem ? http://www.parrotforums.com/cockatiels/80715-help.html

from google Your pet cockatiel's environment should stay between 65 and 80 degrees.

reffering to your other topic alot of people where saying its to young to handle and they even warned you about getting one how ever i hope since you already have him you will take good care of it.

well if he is only 3 weeks old that isnt really postive since baby cockatiels leave the nest at 6/12 weeks, does the cockatiel already eats on its own or are you feeding it? about the feathers on the back the cockatiel is still very young please do not forget that.

At 3 weeks old it's not likely that your bird will be able to sleep on a perch. It would want to curl up in the nest to sleep so try to replicate something like that for them to sleep in. At this point all your bird will want to do is stay warm, eat and grow. Once the bird is starting to get more active and wanting to explore more at around 6 weeks, that is when I would start handling the bird. Taking a bird at 3 weeks is quite young, especially if you aren't experienced with hand rearing. It's been over ten years for me since I was breeding cockatiels. Hopefully someone who is a bit more current can give you more info.
